Brand Ambassador and Team Leader Jobs: Must Have a Network

Brand Activation Brief campaign β€” American Guerrilla Marketing

American Guerrilla Marketing is looking for experienced brand ambassadors and, critically, team leaders with established field networks for campaign activations across our national market footprint. We work fast, we work to high standards, and we need field talent who can deliver both. If you are a team leader with a vetted, reliable network of brand ambassadors in your market, we want to talk.

Our team executes brand ambassador and street team activation campaigns across 50+ U.S. markets. The quality of our campaign execution is directly determined by the quality of our field talent, and the quality of our field talent is directly determined by the strength of our team leader network. This is why the network requirement is non-negotiable.

The Network Requirement Explained

A brand ambassador who walks into our team leader opening with an established, vetted network of 15 to 30 reliable field ambassadors in their market can staff a campaign in 48 hours. A team leader who has to recruit from scratch for each new campaign takes a week to staff the same campaign and introduces quality risk at every step. In our business, the difference between these two profiles is the difference between a reliable partner and a liability.

Your network is your professional capital. It represents years of working with the same reliable people, knowing who shows up on time, who represents brands professionally, and who handles the unexpected situations that every live campaign produces. We are not asking for that network as a favor. We are compensating you for it as a professional asset.

What Team Leaders Do

Campaign Staffing

Team leaders staff campaigns from their existing network based on the campaign’s specific requirements: the type of activation, the brand’s demographic target, any required product knowledge or category experience, and the schedule and market. We provide the brief; you build the team.

On-Ground Leadership

During campaign activations, team leaders are the on-ground leadership responsible for ensuring every team member is performing to brand standards, that the campaign is executing as briefed, and that any complications or deviations from plan are managed promptly and communicated to the project manager. You are the bridge between our campaign management team and the field.

Documentation

Team leaders are responsible for ensuring that campaign activity is documented according to our standard requirements: check-in and check-out timestamps, location data, photo documentation of team activities, and daily activity reports that give our project managers the visibility they need to report to clients accurately.

What We Look for in Brand Ambassadors

Individual brand ambassadors, whether joining through a team leader or applying directly, are evaluated on their market knowledge, professional presentation, communication skills, reliability track record, and relevant brand or product category experience. Our campaigns work with brands across entertainment, consumer goods, technology, food and beverage, and lifestyle categories, and ambassadors who can demonstrate genuine engagement and enthusiasm in these categories consistently perform better than those approaching the work purely transactionally.

How to Apply

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a brand ambassador team leader?

A brand ambassador team leader manages and coordinates a team of brand ambassadors during field marketing activations, including recruiting and training team members from their existing network, managing deployment logistics, ensuring the team meets brand standards and campaign objectives, and reporting activity data and documentation to the managing agency.

Why does AGM require team leaders to have an established network?

A team leader with an established network of vetted, trained, experienced ambassadors can staff a campaign quickly, confidently, and with consistent results. A team leader recruiting from scratch for each campaign introduces quality and reliability risk that is unacceptable on behalf of our clients.

What types of campaigns do AGM brand ambassadors and team leaders work on?

Brand ambassadors and team leaders work on product sampling campaigns, promotional events, street-level consumer engagement, flyer and collateral distribution, event staffing, and retail-adjacent activations. Entertainment and consumer goods campaigns are among the most active categories.

What are the compensation structures for brand ambassador team leader work?

Team leaders are compensated on a per-campaign basis, receiving a base rate for their own time plus a management premium for the team they coordinate. Rates vary by market and campaign type; contact us directly for current compensation benchmarks in specific markets.

What markets is AGM currently seeking brand ambassador team leaders in?

We are actively seeking team leaders with established networks in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, and Denver, as well as secondary markets including Nashville, Austin, Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis.

How do you apply for brand ambassador team leader positions at AGM?

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Team Leader – [Your Market].’ Include your market, network size and background, campaign types previously managed, and any notable brands or agencies you have worked with.

What makes a strong brand ambassador team leader application stand out?

The strongest brand ambassador team leader applications are specific: they name the brands and campaign types the applicant has experience with, describe the size and background of their network with enough detail to assess its depth and reliability, and demonstrate awareness of the campaign quality standards our clients expect. Generic applications that describe “experience in field marketing” without specifics are significantly less compelling than those that demonstrate real market knowledge and a concrete network of field talent ready to deploy.
