May 21, 2026 Careers & Hiring, Guerrilla Marketing Agency
By Justin Phillips, AGM Campaign Director | Published May 2026 | Updated May 2026
AGM has run 500+ street-level poster campaigns across 50 U.S. markets since 2014. Every placement is GPS-tagged and independently verifiable.
AGM builds branded pop-up structures, mobile showrooms, and mobile boutiques for national campaign activations. We need skilled fabricators who can work from design specs and build installation-ready structures that travel and hold up in the field. If you know how to read a blueprint, frame a build, and get it load-in ready under pressure, keep reading.
About American Guerrilla Marketing
American Guerrilla Marketing has been running street-level campaigns and building physical activations for over a decade. Our fabrication work covers pop-up retail builds, mobile showrooms for vehicle and product launches, and mobile boutiques for fashion and beauty brands. We operate in every major U.S. market and internationally. We’ve built structures that load into freight elevators, roll off flatbeds, and set up in under four hours. We know what a real field build looks like, and we hire fabricators who do too.
We hire for three distinct fabrication types. Candidates can apply for one or all three depending on their background.
Pop-Up Build Fabricator
Pop-up builds are temporary branded retail structures set up in high-traffic locations: parks, plazas, mall corridors, event floors, and sidewalks. You’ll work from design packages provided by AGM creative and produce structures that match spec on dimensions, finish, and branding surfaces. Builds must be fast to assemble and easy to strike. You are responsible for structural quality, branded panel installation, and ensuring the build can be safely used by the public.
Mobile Showroom Build Fabricator
Mobile showrooms are vehicle-based or trailer-based platforms used for product presentations, vehicle reveals, and B2B client demonstrations. Fabricators on this track handle interior build-outs: shelving systems, display surfaces, lighting rigs, AV mounts, flooring, and branded exterior wraps. You need to know how to work in a confined space and deliver a finished interior that feels like a real showroom, not a van.
Mobile Boutique Build Fabricator
Mobile boutiques serve fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. These builds require a higher level of finish detail: clothing racks, display cases, fitting room partitions, and polished branded surfaces. You’ll work alongside designers and brand teams. The final product needs to look retail-quality in any outdoor or semi-outdoor setting.
AGM works with both traveling fabricators and locally based crews depending on the campaign.
Traveling Fabricators
Traveling fabricators are part of the core build crew that moves with the campaign. You’ll fly or drive between markets, often working 3 to 10 days per market before moving to the next. Lodging and per diem are covered. This role works best for fabricators who don’t have fixed local commitments and want steady project volume. You get exposure to a wide range of build types and can develop a strong portfolio across markets quickly.
Local Fabricators
Local fabricators are contracted for specific markets when a campaign hits their city. If you’re based in a major market and available for multi-day builds, you can be added to the roster for your city. You won’t travel, but you’ll pick up work whenever AGM has an activation nearby. Local knowledge is an asset: knowing which loading docks are restricted, which venues have strict build windows, and where to source last-minute materials saves time on site.
AGM runs activations across the United States year-round. We are actively looking for fabricators in the following markets:
AGM also runs activations outside the United States. For international builds, we work with local fabricators who understand regional venue regulations and can source materials domestically. We are currently building our rosters in:
We look for fabricators with a combination of the following. You don’t need every skill on this list, but you should be strong in at least three to four core areas:
Pre-Scouting Venues
Before any build, AGM provides venue documentation. Lead fabricators are expected to review ceiling heights, floor load limits, electrical access points, and loading dock dimensions before arriving on site. Use Google Maps Street View to get a ground-level sense of the entry points and exterior conditions. Venue floor plans are shared in the campaign brief. If anything doesn’t match what’s in the docs when you arrive, flag it immediately before starting the build.
Day-Of Process
On build day, your first 20 minutes are for confirming everything matches spec: actual dimensions versus planned, surface conditions and whether they’ll hold fasteners or require freestanding placement, power access and whether a generator is needed, and loading dock availability and timing. Do this before any tools come out. Surprises caught early are manageable. Surprises caught mid-build are expensive.
When you apply, send photos that show what you’ve actually built. We’re not looking for renders or client-facing promotional photos. We want to see your work.
We work best with fabricators who have a background in set construction, trade show exhibit building, retail fixture installation, event production fabrication, scenic carpentry, or custom woodworking and metalworking shops. If you’ve built trade show booths, retail environments, theatrical sets, or event structures, your background translates directly. You don’t need agency experience specifically, but you need to understand build windows, on-site pressure, and working in public or semi-public spaces.
Fabricators are paid on a project basis. Day rates vary based on the build type, duration, and whether travel is involved. Rates are discussed during the screening call.

Subject line: “Fabricator Application [City, State]”. Applications without portfolio materials will not receive a response.
Do I need to be based in a specific city to apply?
No. We hire both traveling fabricators who work across markets and local fabricators based in specific cities. Indicate which you prefer in your application and we’ll match you to the right opportunities.
Is this full-time or contract work?
All fabrication work at AGM is project-based. We do not offer permanent salaried positions on the fabrication side. Active fabricators who perform well get consistent project flow, which can translate to near-full-time volume depending on the campaign calendar.
What tools am I expected to bring to a build?
You should own and bring a cordless drill, impact driver, circular saw, tape measure, level, and standard hand tools. Specialty equipment such as pipe benders, welders, and pneumatic nailers are provided on site by AGM unless you have your own and prefer to use them.
What does a typical build day look like?
Build days are typically 8 to 12 hours. You’ll arrive at the venue, check in with the AGM field lead, verify dimensions and power access, then begin the build per the design package. Strike days are usually shorter, 4 to 6 hours, depending on build complexity. Multi-day builds are common on larger structures.
How much travel is involved for traveling fabricators?
It varies by campaign schedule. During peak months, a traveling fabricator might work 15 to 20 days per month across multiple markets. During slower periods, it drops. We give advance notice on market schedules so you can plan accordingly.
Do you work with union fabricators?
Yes. We work with union and non-union fabricators. Some venues and markets require union labor, and we coordinate accordingly. If you hold a union card, note that in your application.
How long does it take to hear back after applying?
We review applications as campaigns are booked. If your market and skill set match an upcoming activation, we’ll reach out within a week. If there’s nothing immediately available, we keep your application on file and contact you when something comes up. Applications without portfolio materials are not reviewed.
