American Guerrilla Marketing connects national brands with bars, lounges, and nightlife venues for on-site activations, product sampling, brand ambassador deployments, and sponsored events. If you run a bar or venue with regular foot traffic and a 21-plus crowd, we want you in our network.
This is not a job posting. It is an open call for venue owners and operators who want to earn money and get brand support by hosting experiential marketing campaigns inside their space. The arrangement is flexible, non-exclusive, and built around your schedule.
Why AGM
American Guerrilla Marketing has been running street-level and on-site brand campaigns since 2006. We have placed activations in hundreds of bars and venues across the United States and in select international markets. Our client roster spans spirits brands, entertainment studios, fashion labels, CPG companies, and lifestyle startups.
When a brand needs real reach inside a real bar with a real audience, they call us. We need the right venues in the right cities to make those campaigns work. That is why we are building this network.
The AGM Bar and Venue Network is a vetted directory of bars, lounges, cocktail bars, dive bars, nightclubs, sports bars, and rooftop venues that have agreed to host brand activations on a campaign-by-campaign basis. When a brand client comes to us needing on-site presence in a specific city, we pull from this network first.
Being in the network does not obligate you to anything. It means your venue gets considered for paid opportunities as they come up. When a match is right, we reach out, walk you through the campaign details, and let you decide if you want in.
Over the years we have worked with bars that did one activation and moved on, and bars that have hosted twenty-plus campaigns. Both outcomes are fine. The network is built on flexibility, not long-term commitments.
No two activations are exactly the same, but here are the formats we run most often in bar and venue settings:
Product Launch Events
A brand rents your space for a private or semi-private launch event. They bring their team, their product, their branded decor, and usually a guest list. Your bar provides the space, the bar staff, and the drinks program. The brand handles everything else.
Sampling Nights
A spirits label, beer brand, or beverage company sends brand ambassadors to your venue during normal operating hours. They circulate the floor, offer product samples, hand out branded merchandise, and talk to your guests. Low disruption, high visibility for the brand, and your bar sees increased traffic.
Branded Events and Sponsored Nights
The brand sponsors a night at your venue. Think themed events, DJ nights, or happy hour takeovers where the brand provides signage, giveaways, and sometimes subsidized or free drinks. Your guests get a better experience; the brand gets in front of your regulars.
Coaster and Table Campaigns
One of our most popular formats. Branded beer coasters, table cards, and bar top materials go out across your venue. The brand gets weeks of passive impressions from every drink served. This is a low-footprint option that works well for venues that want brand revenue without any event logistics.
Ambassador Nights
A team of trained brand ambassadors works your venue on a Friday or Saturday night. They are dressed in brand gear, running a specific message, and engaging your guests. The brand pays for their time; you provide the venue access. These tend to run two to four hours during peak hours.
Depending on the brand and campaign, activations can run for a single night or span multiple weeks across multiple venues. We will always be transparent about scope and expectations before you commit to anything.
We review every submission individually, but here is what makes a venue a strong candidate for the network:
Not every venue fits every campaign. If you are accepted into the network but are not matched right away, it means we have not had the right campaign for your venue yet, not that you have been passed over.
We are actively sourcing venue partners in the following U.S. markets. If your bar is in one of these cities, your submission moves to the top of the review queue.

Our home market and the most active campaign city in our portfolio. We run more activations here than anywhere else.

Not seeing your city? Submit anyway. We are always looking to expand into new markets and will flag your venue for any campaigns that open up in your area.
We are building the AGM Venue Network internationally in three cities right now:
International venue submissions go through the same process as U.S. submissions. We will be clear about what campaigns exist in your market and what the timeline looks like.
Hosting a brand activation should benefit your bar, not just the brand. Here is what venue partners typically receive:
We do not make promises about compensation figures because every campaign is different. What we do promise is that you will know the full deal before you say yes.
You submit your venue
Email us at [email protected] with your venue name, city, capacity, average nightly foot traffic, and what nights you are open. A photo of the space is helpful but not required.
We review and add you to the network
If your venue is a good fit, we add it to our internal venue directory and flag it for relevant campaigns. You will receive a simple one-page venue partner agreement covering the basics. No long contracts.
We come to you when there is a match
When a brand campaign is right for your venue, we reach out with full details: what the brand is, what the activation involves, what dates are being proposed, and what the compensation looks like. You decide.
The activation runs
We handle campaign logistics, brand ambassador coordination, materials delivery, and on-site management. Your job is to run your bar as usual and keep your staff in the loop on what is happening that night.
You get paid and can do it again
Compensation is processed post-campaign per the agreed terms. There is no pressure to accept future campaigns. Some venues become regular partners; others do one activation and that is that. Both are fine.
The whole process is designed to be low-friction. Bar owners are busy. We are not going to make this complicated.

You can also call us at (646) 776-2770. If you reach voicemail, leave your venue name, city, and a callback number and someone will get back to you within two business days.
We review all submissions within five business days and follow up if there is a fit — or if we need more information before making a determination.
Does my bar need a minimum capacity to qualify?
We generally look for venues with at least 75-person capacity, but we evaluate each submission individually. High-foot-traffic neighborhood bars under that threshold have been accepted into the network.
Do I have to commit to a set number of activations per year?
No. There is no exclusivity requirement and no minimum activation commitment. You accept or decline each opportunity on a case-by-case basis.
What types of brands typically run activations at bars?
Spirits, beer, canned cocktail, energy drink, cannabis-adjacent, lifestyle apparel, and entertainment brands are the most common. We also run activations for CPG brands launching nightlife-targeted products.
How does venue compensation work?
Compensation structure varies by activation type. Some engagements offer a flat venue fee; others include product supply (free stock for the event), branded merchandise, or a revenue share on sponsored rounds. Details are negotiated per campaign.
Will brand ambassadors be present on-site?
Usually, yes. Most bar activations include trained brand ambassadors who handle sampling, branded materials, and guest interaction. Your staff does not need to do any brand-specific work unless you want to.
Is my venue eligible if it is outside the United States?
Yes. We are actively building the network in London, United Kingdom; Tokyo, Japan; and Mexico City, Mexico, and will expand to additional international markets as client demand grows.
How long does it take to get accepted after I submit?
We review all submissions within five business days. If your venue is a fit for any active or upcoming campaigns, someone from our team will reach out directly to schedule a brief call.
Ready to Put Your Bar to Work?
Submit your venue, get matched with brand campaigns, and start earning from activations inside your own space.
