About This Page

American Guerrilla Marketing has been executing street team campaigns and brand activations since 2009. This page is maintained by the AGM staffing team and reflects current hiring needs for Street Team Manager roles across our active U.S. and international markets.

American Guerrilla Marketing deploys street teams for brand activations, product launches, sampling campaigns, and experiential events nationwide. We need managers who can lead crews, hit KPIs, and keep campaigns running smoothly in the field. If you have managed people in a fast-moving, client-facing environment and you know how to get things done on the ground, we want to talk.

About the Role

A Street Team Manager at AGM is the person who makes campaigns happen in the real world. You are the link between the client’s brief and what actually goes on in the street. That means you are responsible for how the crew shows up, how the activation runs, and what the client sees in the recap report.

You will work directly with AGM account managers to receive campaign briefs, translate them into field plans, recruit and train crews for each activation, and manage execution from setup through breakdown. On the back end, you will track distribution numbers, interaction counts, survey completions, or whatever KPIs the client has set, and compile that into clean reporting.

This is not a desk job. The best Street Team Managers at AGM are comfortable shifting plans on the fly when foot traffic changes, weather hits, or a venue goes sideways. They keep the crew motivated and professional regardless of conditions, and they communicate clearly with the account team without needing to be chased for updates.

Campaign Types

AGM runs campaigns across a wide range of formats. Street Team Managers are assigned based on their experience and market. Here is what you should expect to manage:

Brand Activations

High-visibility, branded experiences in public spaces, retail environments, or at events. Activations typically involve branded structures, props, or vehicles, and require detailed setup logistics, permit coordination, and crew management throughout the campaign window.

Product Sampling

Distributing product samples at high-traffic locations such as transit hubs, farmers markets, college campuses, or outside retail locations. Managers are responsible for hitting per-day distribution targets, maintaining product cold chain where required, and logging interactions.

Ambassador Programs

Long-form placements where brand ambassadors represent a client over weeks or months. Managers handle ongoing crew scheduling, performance reviews, ambassador training refreshes, and consistent reporting to keep client relationships on track.

Event Support

Street teams deployed in support of concerts, festivals, sporting events, conferences, and pop-up activations. Event support requires tight scheduling, fast setup and breakdown, and the ability to manage a crew that may be working in crowd-heavy or logistically complex environments. AGM works across festival marketing, college tours, and sports marketing activations.

International Markets

AGM executes campaigns beyond U.S. borders. We are actively seeking Street Team Managers in the following international markets:

  • London, United Kingdom , Event support, brand ambassador programs, and transit-adjacent activations in central London and surrounding boroughs.
  • Tokyo, Japan , High-density activations, experiential pop-ups, and product sampling in collaboration with local field partners.
  • Mexico City, Mexico , Multicultural and CPG campaigns with strong experiential components across key commercial districts.

Requirements

We are looking for people who have done this kind of work, not just read about it. Here is what we need:

  • People management: You have supervised at least a small crew in a field, promotional, or events context. You know how to keep people on task, handle no-shows, and give direction without creating friction.
  • Logistics: You can plan a setup, think through what might go wrong, and have a backup ready. Load-in times, permit windows, and supply checklists are not new concepts to you.
  • KPI tracking: You know how to count, log, and report numbers accurately. Whether it is samples distributed, consumer interactions, surveys completed, or impressions tracked, you can own that data.
  • Crew recruitment: You have a network of dependable field staff or know how to build one. You can vet candidates and move fast when a campaign spins up on short notice.
  • CRM and reporting: You can use basic reporting tools, spreadsheets, or client-facing dashboards to summarize campaign activity. Attention to detail matters here.
  • Professional demeanor: You show up on time, represent the brand and AGM well, and handle client contact with confidence. You do not make the account team nervous.
  • Client-facing skills: Some roles involve direct client interaction on-site. You need to be comfortable communicating clearly, managing expectations, and flagging issues without drama.

Pre-Scouting and Day-Of Management

One of the things that separates a good Street Team Manager from a great one is what happens before the campaign starts. AGM expects managers to pre-scout activation venues whenever possible, which means visiting locations in advance to assess the following:

  • Foot traffic patterns: When does the target audience actually move through this space? What time of day and which access points are highest traffic?
  • Permit zones: Where can the crew legally stand, set up a table, or distribute materials without being moved along? What documentation needs to be on hand?
  • Setup logistics: Where does equipment load in? Is there parking for a vehicle? What is the fastest way to get set up and broken down within the activation window?

On the day of the activation, the Street Team Manager runs the briefing, assigns crew positions, manages the timeline, and handles any real-time adjustments. The account team should receive a mid-day or end-of-day update without having to ask for one.

Past Campaign History

AGM has managed street teams and field activations for clients across entertainment, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, tech, fashion, health and wellness, cannabis, nonprofit, and sports. Our campaigns have covered single-day local activations as well as multi-city tours running over several weeks.

We have run product sampling programs at major transit hubs, street team deployments around album releases and film premieres, brand ambassador placements in retail locations, and full experiential buildouts at festivals and conventions. Our managers have worked in all of those formats, and we draw on that experience when briefing new campaigns.

If you have managed campaigns in similar categories, that context transfers. We are not expecting you to know every client we have worked with. We want to know that you understand what good field execution looks like.

Prior Employment

The Street Team Manager candidates who do best at AGM tend to come from backgrounds like these:

  • Field marketing coordinator or manager at a promotional marketing agency
  • Brand ambassador team lead or regional manager
  • Experiential event coordinator
  • Festival or live event operations staff with crew management responsibilities
  • Retail or sports marketing supervisor
  • Tour manager or road crew lead for consumer brand campaigns

We do not require a specific job title in your history. We care about what you actually did. If your prior work involved managing people in a fast-moving, client-accountable field environment, walk us through it in your application.

Compensation

AGM pays competitive rates for Street Team Manager work. Compensation varies based on market, campaign scope, and your level of experience. Campaign-based roles are paid hourly. Extended or recurring placements may include a project rate or retainer structure.

Compensation details are discussed directly during the hiring conversation. We are straightforward about what a campaign pays and what we expect for that rate. If you have questions about ranges for a specific market, include that in your email.
