AGM deploys brand ambassador teams for product launches, sampling campaigns, and live activations. We are specifically looking for team leaders who already have an active network of trained brand ambassadors they can mobilize on short notice. If you have the people, we have the campaigns.
This page covers both tracks, brand ambassador and team leader, what we expect, where we work, how pay is structured, and exactly how to apply. Read the section that matches where you are right now.
About This Page
American Guerrilla Marketing has been running street-level campaigns across the U.S. and internationally since 2008. Our brand ambassador and team leader placements come directly from the AGM campaign team, not a staffing platform. The information here reflects how we actually hire, brief, and compensate the people who represent our clients in the field.
AGM runs two types of field positions. They are different jobs with different expectations. Read both before you apply.
You are the face of the campaign in the field. You show up on time, represent the brand professionally, engage real people in real conversations, distribute samples or materials, and collect the data or interactions the client is tracking. You do not manage other people. You focus on your own performance and your assigned territory for the day.
Brand ambassador work at AGM runs across product sampling events, street activations, festival footprints, pop-up experiences, and consumer demo setups. The work is physical, social, and fast-moving. You will be briefed before each campaign. You are expected to absorb product information quickly and deliver it accurately to the public.
You are responsible for a crew. You coordinate logistics, run the briefing session before the shift starts, make sure every person on your team knows the talking points and the goals, handle on-site problems without escalating every detail to the client, and deliver a coherent report at the end of the day. You are the buffer between AGM and the people on the ground. If something goes sideways, you fix it. The team leader role is not entry-level. It requires experience, organizational skill, and a network you can actually call on.
AGM campaigns move fast. A client approves a campaign on a Monday and expects people deployed by Wednesday. That is not unusual for us, it is the standard. We do not have the runway to help a team leader build their roster from scratch after we have already committed to a client timeline.
When we bring on a team leader, we need to know that they can staff up a crew of trained, professional brand ambassadors within 48 hours. That means you already have people in your phone who have done this work before, who you trust, and who will show up. Not people you have to recruit, screen, and onboard from zero.
If you have worked as a team lead at another field marketing agency, a staffing company, or built your own crew through independent event work, this is the kind of experience we are looking for. The size of your current network matters. A team leader with a roster of 10 reliable brand ambassadors in a single market is more useful to us than someone with 50 loosely connected contacts who have never done field marketing.
We work across the country and are always looking for strong people in key markets. Current hiring focus includes:
AGM works with clients who have global campaigns. If you have an active brand ambassador network in any of the following cities, we want to hear from you:
For international positions, fluency in the local language is a strong plus. Team leaders in international markets should have existing relationships with local brand ambassador talent and an understanding of local permitting or event regulations.
This is the hard list. If you cannot check most of these boxes, apply as a brand ambassador first.
When you apply, we want to see what you have actually done. For team leaders, this means listing campaigns you have staffed and managed: the brand, the type of activation, the city, the team size, and roughly when it happened. You do not need a formatted portfolio document. A few lines per campaign in your email is fine.
For brand ambassadors, a simple list of events, brands, or agencies you have worked with tells us more than a generic resume. If you have photos from past activations and they are appropriate to share, include them. We want to see that you understand what this work looks like on the ground.
We work with a lot of people who have a background in field marketing, event staffing, promotional modeling, retail demonstration, or hospitality. Those backgrounds tend to translate directly. We also work with people who are newer to this type of work but have natural strengths that make them effective in the field.
If you have worked with another field marketing or brand ambassador agency, say so. We work professionally with most of the major players in this space and there is no conflict in working across multiple agencies. What matters to us is how you show up when you are working for AGM.
Brand ambassadors are compensated on a per-event basis. Rates depend on the market, the campaign type, the shift length, and any specific skills required (bilingual work, product expertise, licensed product handling, etc.). Rates are shared during onboarding after your application is reviewed. We do not post flat rates publicly because they vary significantly from one campaign to the next.
Team leaders earn a management fee on each campaign they staff and run. The fee is negotiated based on the size of the team, the complexity of the campaign, and the market. Team leaders who regularly deliver strong crews and clean reporting tend to earn more over time because they get called first for premium campaigns. If you are also personally working the event as a brand ambassador, you are compensated for that role separately from your management fee.
Send an email to [email protected]. In your email, tell us:
No resume required. No online application form. A real person at AGM reads every email that comes to this address. If there is a match, we will follow up directly to learn more about your background and get you into the system for upcoming campaigns.

She oversees brand ambassador placement, team leader recruitment, and campaign staffing for AGM clients ranging from early-stage consumer brands to major national launches. Yes. Team leader roles at AGM require an active network of at least 10 trained brand ambassadors you can call on for campaigns. If you are still building your roster, apply as a brand ambassador first and grow from there.
Product launches, street-level sampling, pop-up activations, festival staffing, and experiential marketing events. The exact mix depends on the client brief and your market.
AGM campaigns often move from brief to boots on the ground in 48 to 72 hours. That is why we require team leaders who already have staffed networks, not people who need to post a job listing first.
Brand ambassadors are compensated on a per-event basis. Rates vary by market, campaign type, and duration. Exact rates are discussed during the onboarding process after your application is reviewed.
Team leaders earn management fees on top of any direct event work. Fee structures are negotiated based on the size of your network, the scope of the campaign, and the market you are covering.
Yes. We actively work in London, United Kingdom; Tokyo, Japan; and Mexico City, Mexico, among other international markets. If you have a network in one of these cities, we want to hear from you.
