American Guerrilla Marketing is actively expanding its field crew and seeking experienced snipe installers for immediate placement across the United States. Whether you’re a seasoned street-level operator or a newcomer with a sharp eye for urban infrastructure, this is your opportunity to join the most recognized guerrilla marketing agency in North America.
Snipe advertising is a precision field discipline. It involves the strategic placement of small-format posters, stickers, and mini-broadsides on utility poles, lamp posts, news boxes, bus shelters, construction scaffolding, and other high-visibility street infrastructure, all at eye level, all where foot traffic peaks. A great snipe run is fast, high-volume, and invisible. You place the material, you move on, and the city does the rest.
If you can read a street grid, identify viable surfaces in seconds, and hit placement counts that most crews can’t touch, we want to hear from you.
Why AGM?
American Guerrilla Marketing has executed field campaigns in 200+ U.S. markets for national and international brand clients. We’ve delivered hundreds of millions of street-level impressions across music, fashion, film, cannabis, tech, consumer goods, and political verticals.
Our installers aren’t temps, they’re trained field operators who understand campaign integrity, brand standards, and the nuanced art of placing material that gets noticed and stays up. We pay competitive rates, provide materials, and offer both local repeat work and national traveling campaigns.
When you work with AGM, you’re working with the agency that wrote the playbook on guerrilla street marketing in America.
As an AGM Snipe Installer, your primary function is field execution. You’ll work assigned route segments, pre-mapped by our campaign logistics team, and place snipe materials at maximum density across approved surfaces. This means poles, news boxes, utility boxes, scaffolding, construction fencing, bus shelters, and similar infrastructure in high-pedestrian zones.
A typical campaign run involves:
- Receiving a creative package (stickers, mini-posters, or pre-cut materials) and a mapped route
- Executing placements during low-traffic windows (early morning, late night)
- Documenting placements with timestamped photo verification
- Reporting placement counts and flagging any surface issues back to the field coordinator
- Maintaining brand placement standards, level, clean, visible, unobstructed
Speed and volume matter. Our top installers run 300–500+ placements per shift. If you’ve never been timed on a street run, expect to be.
Traveling vs. Local Positions
We hire for two categories of snipe installer role:
Local Installers are based in a specific metro market and serve as our on-the-ground crew for that city. They know the geography intimately, which blocks convert, which surfaces hold, which enforcement zones to avoid. Local installers handle ongoing and repeat campaign activations. Pay is per-placement or per-shift depending on campaign structure.
Traveling Installers fly or drive to campaign markets as needed. These are our go-to operators for large-scale national launches, album drops, film releases, and product rollouts hitting multiple cities simultaneously. Traveling roles include covered travel, lodging, per diem, and higher base rates. If you’re mobile, self-directed, and comfortable moving fast in unfamiliar cities, these roles are for you.
Both tracks require the same core skill set: route reading, surface assessment, placement speed, photo documentation, and discretion.

International Markets
For select global campaign rollouts, AGM deploys international field crews. We’re currently building vetted installer contacts in:
- London, UK: Shoreditch, Brixton, Camden, and surrounding boroughs. Must be familiar with UK enforcement guidelines for outdoor media.
- Tokyo, Japan: Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Shimokitazawa. Strong local knowledge required. Campaigns are precision-planned and require strict surface compliance.
- Mexico City, Mexico: Colonia Roma, Condesa, and Centro Histórico coverage. Spanish-speaking crews preferred for coordination.
International positions are project-based and coordinated through our NYC headquarters. If you’re based abroad and have established field experience, send your portfolio and market coverage area.
Requirements
We’re direct about what we need in a field installer. If you can’t check most of these boxes, this probably isn’t the right fit:
- Speed. You work faster than average. A 4-block route gets done in 20 minutes, not 60.
- Stealth and situational awareness. You read your environment. You know when to move, when to pause, and when to pull back.
- High-count placement ability. 200+ verified placements per shift minimum. Top candidates average 400+.
- Night work experience. Most snipe runs execute between 11PM and 5AM. If you’re not comfortable working late and solo, this isn’t for you.
- Physical fitness. Sustained walking, crouching, climbing, and carrying materials across multi-mile routes.
- Smartphone proficiency. You’ll document every run with timestamped geotagged photos. Must be able to submit photo reports same-shift.
- Reliability. Campaign windows don’t flex. If you commit to a run, you show up on time, fully equipped.
- Discretion. You don’t post real-time locations. You don’t talk about runs in public. Client campaigns are confidential until launched.
Portfolio Requirements
We review field portfolios before booking installers on any paid campaign. Your portfolio doesn’t need to be a polished presentation, it needs to show us you’ve actually done this work.
Include:
- Photo documentation from previous runs (timestamped preferred)
- Approximate placement counts per shift achieved
- Cities and neighborhoods covered
- Types of surfaces worked (poles, news boxes, utility infrastructure, construction fencing, etc.)
- Any national brand campaigns you’ve contributed to (NDA-safe, campaign name or creative reference is sufficient)
- References from field coordinators or agency contacts if available
No portfolio yet? If you’re new to snipe installation but have transferable experience (wheat paste crews, flyering, postering, construction, or similar physical field work), tell us what you’ve done and why you’re a strong candidate. We’ve trained raw talent before.
Prior Employment & Background
Our strongest hires have come from a range of backgrounds. Relevant experience includes:
- Previous snipe or wild-posting installer for another agency or independent crew
- Wheat paste poster campaign field crew
- Flyer distribution and street team work
- Delivery or logistics roles requiring high-output urban routing
- Construction or facilities work requiring infrastructure familiarity
- DIY concert promotion or independent artist field marketing
You’ll be working as an independent contractor. You’re responsible for your own transportation within your market, your own equipment bag (we supply materials), and compliance with local ordinances. AGM provides campaign briefings, materials, documentation tools, and payment processing.
Scouting & Pre-Campaign Recon
Snipe installation at scale requires more than just showing up with materials. The best installers treat every campaign as a two-phase operation: pre-scout and execute. We build this into our standard workflow, and we expect field leads to lead it.
Phase 1: Digital Pre-Scouting
Before boots hit the ground, qualified installers use digital tools to evaluate the target area:
- Google Street View mapping: Walk the route virtually. Identify lamp post density, news box clusters, bus shelter placements, and visible utility infrastructure along every target block.
- Satellite and aerial review: Identify pedestrian flow corridors, transit nodes, and foot traffic bottlenecks that increase placement value.
- Enforcement zone flagging: Map known camera positions, BID patrol boundaries, and active enforcement zones to plan routes around unnecessary exposure.
- Surface type documentation: Catalog viable surface types (metal, painted wood, glass-adjacent concrete) and flag anything that typically rejects adhesive material.
Phase 2: Day-Of Walk and Confirmation
On campaign day, typically 2–4 hours before the run window, field leads do a physical confirmation pass:
- Verify surfaces are clean and undamaged (no fresh paint, no hazard tape, no active maintenance)
- Confirm news boxes and utility infrastructure are accessible and not recently serviced
- Check for changed enforcement presence, new cameras, or construction that may have altered the landscape since the digital scout
- Identify alternate surfaces for fallback placements if primary zones are compromised
Installers who bring scouting intelligence back to the team are the ones who get repeat campaign bookings. We value field thinking, not just field labor.
Compensation & Travel
Rates vary by campaign type, market, and placement volume. Here’s how our compensation structure works:
- Local campaigns: Paid per verified placement or per shift, depending on campaign scope. Rates discussed during onboarding.
- Traveling campaigns: Higher base rates plus covered airfare or mileage, hotel, and per diem. Multi-city rollouts can run 5–10 consecutive market activations.
- Field lead roles: Available for experienced installers who can manage a crew of 2–4 across larger metro campaigns. Lead rates reflect the added responsibility.
- Payment: Processed via direct bank transfer or Venmo within 5–7 business days of campaign close and photo report submission.
AGM pays on time, every time. Our installer network is built on trust and repeat work. If a campaign doesn’t perform because of poor placement, we both lose. If it crushes, you’re the first call on the next one.

FAQ. Snipe Installer Jobs
Is snipe advertising legal?
Legality varies by city, borough, and specific surface type. AGM campaigns are briefed with compliance guidelines specific to each market. We do not brief campaigns that require illegal placement. Installers are responsible for understanding local ordinances in their market and operating accordingly.
Do I need to provide my own tools and materials?
AGM supplies all campaign materials, stickers, mini-posters, and any adhesive components. You bring your own installation tools (typically a paste applicator brush or adhesive applicator depending on material type), a smartphone for photo documentation, and appropriate attire for night operations.
How do I get paid?
Installers submit photo documentation reports at the end of each run. Payment is processed within 5–7 business days via bank transfer or Venmo once the campaign coordinator confirms the report. There are no deferred payments or “performance-based” holds, you do the work, you get paid.
Can I work in multiple cities?
Yes. Many of our most active installers cover 2–3 adjacent markets or take on traveling campaign assignments across the country. Let us know your full geographic availability when you apply.
What types of clients do AGM snipe campaigns serve?
AGM runs snipe campaigns for a wide range of clients: music labels and artists, film studios, streaming platforms, consumer product brands, cannabis companies, fashion labels, and political and advocacy organizations. Campaign materials will be provided to you, you’re not expected to source creative.
How quickly can I get my first campaign assignment?
If there’s an active campaign in your market when you apply, it can be as fast as a few days. In less active markets, you may be placed on our roster and contacted when campaigns schedule. The fastest path to regular work is demonstrating high placement counts and solid photo documentation in your first run.
Is this a full-time or part-time position?
All installer positions are contract/freelance. Most campaigns run 1–5 nights. This works as a side income for many installers, and as primary field income for those who take on traveling campaigns and multiple markets simultaneously. There is no guaranteed weekly schedule, availability and campaign demand drive frequency.
Ready to Launch Your Campaign?
Whether you’re a brand, label, or agency. AGM executes snipe campaigns that hit the street with precision, scale, and impact.
